The corner of Vulcan Lane is at left, while the Wyndham Street corner is at centre. Te Papa does not give a date for this picture; it must be 1905 or later as in that year the firm of Wm. Young (Tailor and Mercer) whose signage can be seen at right moved to this location in Queen Street (New Zealand Herald, 11 May 1905, Page 4, and ditto, 13 June 1905, Page 4).
